the truth 'bout the lion cut
Hi efurrybody; JP Buzzerbee here . . .
I wanna try to explain Meep's new haircut. See, the thing is, that little cat never washes himself. I'm serious. He might wash his face, or enjoy an "after dinner mint" as Timmy would say, but that's 'bout it. Jim and the girl do what they can; Meep gets wiped-down with "pet wipes" a coupla times a week, and Jim tries to brush him almost every nite. But it's just not enuff. Poor Meep gets so many mats and tangles, there's just no way to keep him groomed. The vet said that this is really the best thing for him - turns out that those mats can be real uncomfortable (I wouldn't know).
Craziest thing is, whenever Meep gets a haircut like this, he's a whole new cat. Usually he's very "low-key" (yeah, that's a nice way to put it!) and doesn't really do a whole lot. But when he gets a lion cut - look out! He's practically spunky! He runs around the house talkin', he plays with lotz more of his toys, he's much more curious 'bout stuff, and he bugs the you-know-what outta me! (Eh, that's a pretty small price to pay to have my little 'dopted brother feelin' better.) He's plenty warm, and we've got lotza windows for him to get sun. And of course, there's always his *special* blankie/pillow thing for him to cuddle into.
So now that Meep's all cleaned-up and active, maybe we'll have some more "action" photos to post . . .
Oh wow - it's 3:00pm on Friday for us kitties on the east coast - happy week-end efurrybody!

sweet little Adam
Hey efurrybody - it's Buzz n' Meep postin' together!
We wanna tell you 'bout a little kitty named Adam. We found out 'bout him from our new friends Grr, Midnight & Cocoa. Now you all know that we are some pretty tuff boy-cats, but we gotta say that little Adam's story really got to us. He's an adorable little guy with a very sad but very hopeful story. If you haven't already seen it, please click this link to read 'bout him.
We wanna wish little Adam a very speedy recovery so that he can find his fur-ever home very soon. We also wanna thank all the people who are doin' what they can to help his situation. And a special big thanks to Carole (his foster mom) and Westside Animal Emergency and Dr. Gary Adams for takin' such good care of him! And of course a big *paws-up* to Grr, Midnight & Cocoa for sharin' this little kid's story with efurryone!

the thing 'bout scrappin' . . .
4 Things I Don't Like 'Bout the Girl Scrapbookin' by JP Buzzerbee
1) It's always a big deal if me or Meep are around 'cause the girl doesn't want us to get stuck on anything sticky.
2) It takes her fur-ever to "do a page" - this means we get ignored.
3) Sometimes the project is 'bout us and we like that. But lately, most of the stuff she is doin' is 'bout that place in Florida where that big mouse lives. And, she keeps sayin' stuff like "when we go back, we should be sure to get a picture of _______ !" [whatever it was she said]. What is this "when we go back" talk . . . ?!?!?! And why does a mouse need a whole world - doesn't he also have a land?
4) If the girl is scrappin', I can't use the 'puter 'cause she's "working on pictures". I've so had it with this that I spoke to Jim 'bout it. He said that it's a classic case of "Dining Philosophers". I don't know what he means, and I'm not sure that I care. I just wanna be able to use the 'puter when I want to!
So that's 'bout it, but I think that's enuff. It's really very simple - the girl can scrap when it is convenient for me and 'bout me, er um, I mean us.
