Hey meep. We were reading your brothers message about your lion cut. We know a cat just like you. His name is Patches and mom cat sits him now & then for her friend. He always has huge mats and mom used to think his lady was lazy about not brushing him, but no matter how much she does she can't keep up with his self-tangling fur. He got shaved earlier this spring. Those mats DO hurt! the fur gets tangled tighter & tighter and they really pull on the skin! The people don't do it for jollies... It's just the best thing for some kitties.
Meep, your coat looks like panne velvet now! Very fashionable!
In answer to your comment on our blog, yes - Cocoa and I do love each other in that cuddly sweet brother/sister way. Also, Grr and I love each other in that same way. However...Grr and Cocoa, well, not so much. They have a competitive thing going on and they like to swat at each other "just because". We're all from the same litter and you'd think they'd get along better, but the only way all 3 of us can cuddle together is if I'm in the middle.
