a note from mom

I asked the boys if I could borrow the blog today . . .

I wanted to thank Karen Jo for all of her work with the boys' limericks this week. The care she took with choosing their pictures and the thoughtful details she described were so touching. And of course the limericks themselves were incredibly sweet & fun! Each one brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart.

Today was Buzzy's limerick. The stories Karen Jo recalled of Buzzy's "purr-sonality" were wonderful. It's been almost four months since our little man went to The Bridge, and we think of him & miss him every single day.

It was so nice to wake-up this morning and read about him, almost like reminiscing with a good friend about another loved one who had passed away. Not only was Karen Jo's tribute beautiful, but all the special comments from other blog friends who miss him too.

The kitty blogosphere is filled with an amazing group of fluffies and their 'beans - thank you all so much for being there for each and every one of us, through the good times and the sad.

oh the limerick for Buzz was great. It's nice to have wonderful memories of the ones who have moved on to The Bridge. I'm sure Buzz is at the Bridge reveling in the good thoughts!

That was a beautiful limerick. I am glad that I got to know Buzz just a bit before he passed on. I'm very glad that Meep still hangs around the blogosphere and that he has a new kitty sibling in Twizzler.

We loved the limerick too! Karen Jo is very clever, my mom only knows baaaad limericks!

Puff's Mom: Have you seen the Self-Warming Thermal Cat Cushion at Petsmart.com? If Twiz gets cold easily it might help. It got very good reviews; I ordered a couple for the feral cat houses we'll be putting out.

You are so right. I was going back through some archives recently and it is so fascinating to see how the community has grown and blossomed and become such a tight-knit and supportive group. We find ourselves turning to these great cat blogs before human blogs most days because of the joy they bring us, like you said, in the good and the sad.
