Hey efurrybuddy, Jack Ma-Tack here . . .

Just wanted to clear up some confusion on Fwankwin's post re: Gracie's destructive tendencies. Yes, it is indeed a scratching box which means it is made for scratching. What our crazy little sisfur does is bite/chew things to death. Biting a scratching box makes it unusable much faster. This upsets Twizzy & Fwankwin 'cause they actually use the scratching box for it's intended purpose . . . if it's "bwoken", they hafta wait for our momma to go buy a new one. (Sometimes she's kind'a lazy 'bout that . . . )

So anyhoo, that's the "issue" . . . don't know why the other guys don't just tear-up the carpet like I do - keeps things much simpler! >^..^<

Hi! I'm Gracie! I adopted my mom & dad last October. A very nice lady at our vet saw me living in a boat in a marina yard. I had quite a few siblings, but I was the only one clever enuff to come over to say "hello" to the nice lady. I was only 12 weeks old, but I was already furry self-sufficient.

I didn't know that I would live in a home with 3 boys (btw: boys smell funny) . . . but I can hold my own with my brothers. Don't get me wrong - I am all girl. My mom & dad say that I'm a Pirate Princess . . . tuff, but still dainty. Sometimes when I'm especially destructive, my mom asks me to try to be "a little more Princess, a little less Pirate."

My favorite thing to destroy is cardboard. I'll try to share some photos of my most creative destructions later.

Well, I hafta go destroy something . . . it was a pleasure to meet you!

hi efurrybuddy . . . i'm fwankwin. we haven't bwogged in a really long time. lotz of stuff has happened - fur one thing, i got fat. i'm 16 pounds now and my doctor and my mom & dad say that's too many pounds. so my dad is gonna start taking me for walks to get some exercise. this is a picture of me "getting used to my harness" - i'm gonna tell ya right now, i'm not sure that's gonna happen. but i had a nice time in the sun with my dad, and i even found some bird poop to investigate. but then my mom realized what i was sniffin' and she kind'a freaked-out, so i had to stop. after i "get used to my harness" (yeah, we'll see 'bout that), my dad is gonna try walking me on the brick walking trail outside my house . . . stay tuned!

hi! i'm fwankwin bug. here's me 5 weeks ago when i came home. i was 6 weeks old. a nice lady found me & my brother in a ditch with no momma. she brought us to the vet. once my mom & dad saw me, they wanted to bring me home to live with them fur-ever. don't worry 'bout my ditch brother - he got to go to a fur-ever home with one of the nice vet ladies.

Jack Ma-Tack, and since there's no days that start with C or J (and Twizzy has dibs on the T days), I think Monday is a good day for me.

Today is a beautiful fall day in NH. Days like this are the best for Twizzy to sit outside in his stroller. He said I could join him, but I don't really like it too much. I'd rather sit inside and watch him enjoy the outdoors. Here's a picture:

Hello! My name is Jack. My brother Twizzy introduced me to the blogosphere too many months ago. That's why I named today's post finally friday - 'cause I finally get to blog!

I love my home & family lots! Me n' Twizzy get along sooooo great. Here's a picture:

Seriously - it's unbelievable how much Twizzy n' me like each other. We are sooooo happy - life is just purr-fect! And then, my mom & dad brought this thing home. Here's a picture:

It's name is Franklin (the town he was rescued from), but it can't say that, so it says its name is "Fwankwin" . . . Okay whatever, I mean it is only about 10 weeks old now, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. Twizzy and it get along really good - Twizzy is kinda acting like a dad to it. I gotta admit that I dislike it less now than when it first came to live with us, but I'm gonna need some time.

Okay - so that's bloggin' . . . it was fun! Thanks for readin' my post and please check back 'cause me n' Twizzy will be bloggin' more. If it can sit still long enuff, Twizzy might even help "Fwankwin" to bwog too. We'll see . . .

Hi efurrybuddy - it's Twizzler here. Sorry I've been away for sooo long. Things were just very sad at our house, losing little Meep and then poor Bear just 20 days later. We can't thank you all enuff for all of your kind thoughts and words - it really meant a lot to us.

I've been doin' pretty good - I did hafta go on depression/anxiety pills 'cause I pulled-out all of my furs. No, seriously - I really did pull 'em all out. The only place I wasn't bald was my face & head (and that was only 'cause I couldn't reach those furs). The meds have helped; almost all of my furs have grown back. Sometimes I still give a good tug and yank some out, but it's still way better than before.

Now for the really excitin' news - I have a new 'dopted brother! His name is "Jack" (kind'a after a famous movie pirate . . . ) - he's an FIV+ rescued House Panther (currently sporting a "lion-cut") and he only has one eye (hence the "pirate" theme!)
Jack is furry friendly and all he wants to do is give & get love! He just wants to sit in my mom or dad's lap and headbutt their faces. Seriously, he could do that all day! Me & Jack get along great too - we like to cuddle, give each other baths, and take turns chasing all around the house. Oh and another cool thing 'bout Jack - he talks almost as much as I do!
My mom & dad weren't sure they were ready for another kitty after losing Meep & Bear so close together. But they knew I was furry unhappy bein' an only-kitty. Of course I still miss my little brother Meep and my big brother Bear so much, but Jack is a great new brother. We get along so well that I kind'a think Buzzy, Meep, and Bear helped Jack to find me.

another sad day

Early this morning, we had to help Bear to the Bridge.

It seems he must have had a heart condition that went undiagnosed. All the fluids that were supposed to help ease his CRF were too much for him to handle, and last night he went into heart failure. At midnight we took him to an emergency vet. There was just nothing that could be done to help our little boy.

We knew that because of the CRF we wouldn't have very much time with Bear, but we were not prepared to have to say good-bye last night.

In our hearts we know that Bear is with Buzzy & meep at the Bridge, but we are just missing all of our boys so much.

when it rains ...

. . . it really pours.

After losing little meep, Jim & I needed to get away for a bit, so we took a trip to Disney World. We boarded Twizzy & Bear at their doctor's office and asked that they run routine urinalysis and senior blood panels while the boys were there. We always do that when we board them, and things have always come back normal. But not this time.

Poor Bear is in chronic renal failure. The vet estimates that he's lost at least 75% of his kidney function. His BUN and creatine levels are off the charts. She started him on IV fluids and meds as soon as she got the test results back. His levels have been re-checked, and although the fluids have helped a little bit, his values are still too high to come home. He's going to remain on the IV drip until at least Thursday night. They'll re-check his blood work and hopefully he'll be able to come home. The vet says that if we can get his numbers down, we'll be able to care for him at home with sub-q fluids, meds, and a special diet. She has been very upfront that she is not encouraged by how he's responded to the IV fluids so far. When we went to visit him at the hospital last night, she said that we need to be prepared that he may only have about 1 to 3 months left.

This is all such a complete shock to us because Bear showed no symptoms of anything being wrong. As a matter of fact, he was actually becoming more social and affectionate than he had been in the past. Monday will be his first "gotchya day" and in some ways we feel like we're just really getting to know him. The thought of having to say good-bye so soon is breaking our hearts all over again.

UPDATE @ 3pm: Just spoke with Bear's doctor and the good news is that we can bring him home today. The bad news is that his kidneys can't tolerate any more fluids, so there is no reason for him to stay in the hospital. The hope is that once his body has absorbed the fluids that he's received, we may be able to start sub-q next week. He's going in for a re-check on Monday to see where things stand. Although that's certainly not how we wanted to celebrate his first "gotchya day", we're very grateful to be able to bring our Honey Bear home today.

Poor little meep is losing his fight against his heart failure. Thanks to his doctors, meds, and his own toughness, we are very lucky that he had three good months and some great days before this time came.

But now our little boy is just too tired to keep fighting. His heart failure, anemia, and now an infection have proven too much, and meep is telling us that it is time to let him go. Tomorrow we will help him cross to the Rainbow Bridge, where we know his big brother Buzzerbee will be waiting for him. There we know that he will be strong & playful once again, and that he will always be able to find a good sunny spot on the floor to sleep in - on his back with his tummy floof taking in all that warmth.

We know we've been bad kitty bloggers, but we have a note from our mom . . .

While we've been gone, we have had some "developments". First, we don't much like our DSL internet. At the old house we had cable that we (and our dad) loved. Let's just say that the new internet is a little "less reliable".

Okay, now for the more serious stuff. Poor little meepster has gone into congestive heart failure. He's not in any pain, and is on some medicines to help his condition. We're all just being real gentle with him and lettin' him know how much we love him. Right now he has good days & bad days; we're all tryin' to enjoy the good days as much as possible.

And as most of you know, Twizzler loves efurrybuddy, especially little meepster. So of course he's super-stressed-out 'bout meep bein' sick. We're not sure if that's the cause, but crazy Twizzler has literally pulled-out almost all of his furs. He's had all kinds of tests that come back negative for lots of nasty stuff, so it may be anxiety. Tomorrow he's gettin' a stinky "dip" that might help, but if that's not it, he may hafta go on anxiety/depression meds.

I know I'm still the new kid, but I luv my family furry much, and I'm sad that meep & Twizz aren't feelin' good. We promise to do a better job bloggin' and we'll keep efurrybuddy up-to-date as we know stuff.

And oh yea - my stroller came from the guy in the brown truck! You can see how excited I am - I was meezin' all night 'til my dad put it together for me! It's really neat and I like it lotz - hopefully my mom can get some good pictures of me in it later.

(Yes, that is aluminum foil wrapped around the table leg in the back - mom & dad "shampooed" the carpet and hadta move the furniture back in while it was still kinda damp . . . 'course that was 4 days ago, so maybe it's time mom got off her butt and took the foil off . . . sigh, what am I gonna do with her?)

Today's my furry first "Gotchya Day" - whoohoo! I'm so grateful that SAFER saved me, Dr. Wendy took such good care of me, and that my sweetie Amber thought to call my mom & dad and ask if they wanted to meet an FIV+ Siamese kitty.

It's hard to believe that I'm the same guy in that top picture - living outside was really tough on me. But I'm all happy & healthy now and I love my family.

Hi efurrybuddy - Bear here! We gots no excuse - basically we goofed-off all week, and before we knew it, the week was over. This picture is pretty much how I looked all week. If ya biggify, you can see my cool vampire fangs. (I'm thinkin' 'bout bein' a vampire for Halloween.)

Twizzler has admitted defeat against the Breeze box. It's gotta be pretty hard for a meezer to admit that anythin' beat him. He does use it efurry day, but we all gotta hear 'bout how hissed-off he is 'bout it.

Meep & Mom had a pretty excitin' day yesterday. Mom is NOT a fan of driving - at all. She can get 'round to the grocery store and stuff, but when we hafta go see Dr. Wendy, our dad always hasta drive. Well for the first time ever, Mom drove by herself to the vet! Actually she wasn't by herself, she had little Meep with her as a co-pilot. And you hafta go to the House Panthers blog to see what happened to poor little Meepster.

Okay, here's the deal - I'm not gonna like anything that's different. Seriously.

Sure the Breeze box is way easier to clean than the other stuff, doesn't track litter at all, handles all of our "outputs", and is just all-round better than anything else we've ever used.

Whatever. It's different, I'm a meezer, you do the math ...

I even got werked-up over the friendly letter that the nice Breeze people sent me. Had to put the bitey on it. Big time.

Bottom line - I use it ('cause I've got no choice), but I'm not gonna like it. Oh, and I'm gonna let ya know I don't like it 'cause I'm gonna walk up to it and whine at it. A lot. I know it won't do any good, but I've gotta do it. 'Cause I'm a meezer.

um hi, it's me, meep . . .
okay, as you can tell we got a new Breeze box - thank you Maureen! i'm gonna post 'bout how it's been goin' so far 'cause i'm the one that used it (correctly) first!
even though Bear was the first one to get in it, you can see from this picture that he did not do what your supposed to do in it. my mom thinks that he liked the way the pellets felt kinda cool on his belly - it was a really hot day.
anyhoo, after he got outta my way, i hopped in, turned 'round a few times, meowed a bunch, and then peed. my mom & dad were very happy. a couple hours later, i pooped. my mom & dad were even happier.
next up was Bear - same routine as me. by now my mom & dad were super happy.
nobuddy was surprised that Twizzy hadn't gone yet - he's kinda a "potty snob". when we had the other kind of litter, he would only go immediately after my mom changed it all first thing in the morning - seriously, he would only go in there once a day - ever!
*** cue the dramatic music ... "will Twizzler the Meezer use the new Breeze box? Tune in tomorrow for another edition of As the Litter Turns" *** um, sorry 'bout that - my mom wasn't feelin' good on Monday so we all watched soap operas with her and i guess i got that stuck in my head ... back to our regularly scheduled blog ...

Yea! We got tagged by Mr. Hendrix & Bendrix to play the Cold Box meme - thanks guys! We've really enjoyed efurry kitty sharin' what's on their cold box - you guys have some neat stuff!

Okay, ours is kinda dull compared to some, but here goes . . . we've got stuff on the front and left side:

On the front side we've got a funny picture that was on an ad our grocery store (Shaw's) sent us - it's a kitty watchin' a goldfish thru the bowl. It's bein' held up there with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger magnets. Then we've got some Stitch magnets (like from Lilo & Stitch - our mom is obsessed with that blue alien guy.) Okay next is a photoframe that has all of the cats from Disney on it - they bought it like 4 years ago, and it's still empty (lazy humans). Then there is a magnet that looks like the "Spay/Neuter Your Pets" stamp from a couple years ago. That is holding a pink Post-It with the phone number for the kitty emergency room - go figure! The blue piece of paper is Meep's heart med Rx that mom needs to fill next week. The orange magnet on that is one that Meep picked out for Buzzy when he was sick - it's a cartoon of a mouse and it says "If I was a mouse, I'd be cured! Research Cures Cancer".

On the left side is kinda weird. It's really a tight fit between it and the counter/microwave, so efurry thing is kinda pushed to the front part. On a magnetic hook, there are two Ove Gloves - our mom LOVES these, says they are the best potholders she's ever used. The yellow thingy is a small cutting board mom uses to cut fruit & veggies on. She's all nutty 'bout not havin' those things be on the same board as the chick-hen - whatever. There are two NHSPCA magnets that say "MEOW" on them; a label from a pair of Crocs so that mom will remember to order a new pair for dad; more Pooh & Piglet magnets (mom bought & ate 2 boxes of kid's cereal just to get these - she needs sooo much help); a recipe for salad dressing that mom forgot about; a credit card bill with a fee charge that dad needs to call (forgot) 'bout; and finally 2 coupons for 10% off junk removal from 1800GOTJUNK . . . uh oh - that sounds like a major cleanin' project to us . . .

So dat's 'bout it for our cold box. The most excitin' thing is inside the really cold part on top - a box of Omaha Steaks! Our dad got them as a gift from a client and they are super good! Hmmm, maybe mom will ask dad to grill some of those up this week-end . . . a kitty can dream can't they?!?!

Since it seems like almost all our kitty furiends have already played, we tag anybuddy that hasn't already been & wants to. Go ahead - it's a lot of fun and ya might even find some stuff ya forgot 'bout . . . like credit card bills & recipes!

Hey efurrybuddy - Twizzler the Meezer here . . .

I need to ask fur some advice 'bout a purr-sonal matter - "The Litter Box". See, the thing is, our house is really tiny - seriously, it's freakin' small. So all three of us use one huge Booda litter box with Yesterday's News litter. Our mom changes the whole box efurry morning - dumps out all the litter, wipes out any "residue" (or is it "resi-poo"?) - y'all know the drill. It's the only way the box can stay useable with the three of us.

Anyhoo, she's seen the new Breeze system and is thinkin' 'bout givin' it a try . . . have any of you cool kitties tried it yet? Our mom knows that she would hafta change the weewee pad and pellets more often than it says on the directions, but she's really hopin' that maybe the box would stay "clean & fresh" for more than one day . . .

Oh, and if ya have tried it, is it "roomy" enuff? Bear is clockin' in at 20 lbs (eeeeeek! - I know, right!?!?) so we wanna be sure that he'd have plenty of space to do what he's gotta do.

Okay, now 'bout me - The T-Man . . . yes, this is a picture of me AT THE VET'S OFFICE (thanks a bunch, Dad!) I do not even want to talk 'bout what is going on in my butt-area when my dad took this. Let's just say that I would much rather "express myself!!!" when I'm good and ready. Ummm, seriously - I really didn't 'purreciate that my photo was taken during such an em-bareass-ing procedure. it's been a year

Today it has been one year since we had to say goodbye to our little man Buzzy.

We take comfort knowing that he's at the Rainbow Bridge, free of pain and able to play with wonderful kitty friends, but we still miss him so much.

And knowing that little Meep would be lonely, we're pretty sure Buzzy helped Twizzler & Bear find their way into our home and hearts.

As hard as it is, we are trying not to be sad. Buzzy wouldn't want any saddness. He truly was the happiest being we've ever known. So today is about happy memories, with lots of stories that start with, "Hey, remember that time Buzzy . . . "

Hi efurrybuddy from all of us!

Hi! My name is Bear ... me and my 'dopted brothers Meep & Twizzler haven't been able to blog because our mom has been "too busy with werk ..." Well us kitties got together and figured-out where all of her "werk" lives - lotz of it's in this stupid drawer. So I camped-out on top of her papers thinking that would help her get some purr-spective. But do you know what she did?!?! She and our dad went to some big conference about some dude named "Ed" who is pretty "Tech"nical (TechEd 2008-Orlando). And I didn't know this ('cause I'm still kinda new to this family) but it's physically impossible for our mom & dad to go to Orlando and not visit this Mouse World place ...

Anyhoo, we're all home now, and since Technical Ed is over, my mom will have lotz more time to let us blog & visit with our fur-iends.

We all wanna say a huge "Thank you!" to efurrybuddy for all of their nice comments, thoughts, prayers, headbutts & purrs - it truly means so much to our whole family.

So far he seems to be doin' pretty good. Last night we all got some nice chicken, and little Meep was really, I mean really into it. Seriously - the little kid can chow down on the treats. But that's a good thing 'cause it means he's feelin' like himself.

good news!

um hi, it's me, meep ...

so i just got back from Dr. Wendy's and i've got some good news - it looks like we caught my heart condition pretty early! my "ultra-look" pictures show that i have an enlarged heart with some kind'a thick walls, one of my valves doesn't werk so good, and my heart beats too fast. but Dr. Wendy said that my blood pressure is normal and that we can probably get my heart to beat a little bit slower with some medication. so i'm gonna try the meds for a week, and go back for another EKG & blood pressure. then 'bout 2 weeks after that, i'm gonna see a kitty card-i-ologist.

i wanna say thanks so much to efurrybuddy who posted such nice comments and sent purrs & headbutts to me & my family - it means lotz to all of us! and a big thank you to Mr. Hendrix for putting my story on the Cat Blogosphere - we really 'purreciate your thoughtfulness.

and we wanna thank Dr. Wendy and all the ladies in her office for always takin' such good care of me n' my brothers whenever we go there.

okay, well i've had kinda a big day, so i'm gonna go rest for a little bit. my mom is makin' chicken soup for dinner, and i wanna make sure that i can help her when it's time. she always says that i'm her "little kitchen helper" and that she'd never be able to make dinner without my help ...

um, hi, it's me, meep ...

i had to go see Dr. Wendy on Saturday for my yearly check-up ... good news is that i didn't get any shots or get my temperature taken.

but i did hafta get hooked-up to this EKG machine, and i didn't like that one bit - i mean come on, i got pinched! oh, and i got a needle stuck into my neck and they took lotz of blood out! see the thing is, i've always had a little bit of a heart mumur. Dr. Wendy said that it used to be a #1 grade, but now it's gotten werse, and it's like a #3 / #4 grade, and my heart is skippin' some beats. Dr. Wendy wants to see what my heart really looks like, so tomorrow i gotta go back and get some pictures taken on the inside. the thing i don't understand is how they're gonna get a picture by usin' sound? i mean they said they're gonna "look" at my heart, but i think they meant to say they were gonna "listen". 'cause it's not called "ultra-look", it's called "ultra-sound"!

so hopefully my mom & dad will know more after tomorrow and we'll be sure to let efurrybuddy know what we find out.

oh, hang-on a sec, Twizzler wants to say sumthin' . . .

Hi efurrybuddy - this is Bear.
I just wanna let efurrybuddy know that I do more than just sleep ... so far all my pictures are of me sleepin' on somebody! Even tho I'm a little bit on the "fluffy" side (18 pounds!), I'm still really active. I love to put the bitey on my fish toy (I call her "Goldie"). Sometimes if I'm really werked-up, I rabbit-kick her pretty good too. And it's taken a bit of effort, but me & Twizz can play good now. I think Twizz is a little nervous 'cause I'm twice his size, but I really do play nice (my mom calls me "The Gentle Giant"). Mostly we take turns chasin' each other thru the house. Meep doesn't like to play as much as me & Twizz, but I think he has fun watchin' us. This Saturday it will be my 2 week anniversary in my fur-ever home; I really like my new family! (BTW: when I play, lotz of my fur comes off, but mom does vacumm it up, eventually!)

no, your eyes are not playin' tricks on you, and no i haven't gotten fat[er], we have a new 'dopted brother!

his name is Bear, and he came home on Saturday. my mom & dad 'dopted him from the people who rescued Buzzy & me, Kitty Angels . he's pretty big, but he seems furry nice. like all of us, he's FIV+ too. at first Bear was stayin' by himself in my dad's office. me n' Twizz knew sumbuddy was in there and we were sniffin' by the door - we were sniffin' lotz! mom & dad went to get dinner, and when they came home, all three of us were hangin' out in the livin' room! somehow the door got opened . . . let's see, there was a Meezer on one side, and 18 pounds of Bear on the other . . . can you say team-werk?!?! anyhoo, we're all gettin' along pretty great.

i gotta go help my mom now - she's washin' the sheets, and me, Twizz and Bear hafta go get more fur on the mattress pad. we'll blog more later - promise!

we wanted to thank efurryone for all of their furry nice comments & support while my mom & dad was feelin' down. our blogosphere is a really amazin' place and you kitties & your beans are all the bestest. we truly 'purreciate your kindness.

my turn to do the meme: 7 weird things 'bout Twizzler

1.) he's always lickin' me. he never lets up. sure i like a nice friendly facewash now and then, you know for those hard to reach spots, but c'mon - he just keeps lickin' me non-stop! and on top of that - he has fish-breath!

2.) efurrytime he eats crunchies, he throws a whole bunch of them into the water bowl.

3.) [oh hold on a sec, my mom is callin' me ...]

um, i'm back . . . my mom told me that i'm 'upposed to write my meme 'bout me, not Twizz. well, that's gonna be harder 'cause i'm not weird . . .

1.) i'm ~ 13 pounds, but my mom calls me her "little kid".

2.) i have a baby blanket that i love - it says "Little All-Star" on it.

3.) sometimes when i get up from a nap, i'll keep my blankie on me when i walk over to the food & water.

4.) even tho i'm ~13 pounds, i have a squeaky little voice.

5.) lately whenever i go to use "the box", i talk before i get in to do what i gotta do.

6.) after i go #1 in "the box", i come tearin' out runnin' like a nut and rip-up the welcome mat. but only after #1, never #2.

7.) i hafta stick my head in any kind of bag that comes home. and i usually stick my head thru the handle-thingie.

oh, we wanted to thank efurrybuddy that's given us an award - we've gotten some furry nice awards that my mom has not been good 'bout postin' . . . hopefully next week we can get her to do her job.

Twizzler's 7 weird(est) things

Okay, I'm gonna hafta talk to my mom 'cause I'm really fed-up with her bein' on our 'puter all the time . . . oh and who is this Uncle Sam guy and what's taxes?!?!

Okay so a really loooooong time ago, me & Meep got tagged by our buddy Tripper to do a meme of 7 "weird" things 'bout ourselves . . . only 7 huh . . . okay, here goes mine:

1.) My eyes are kinda crossed, but only some of the time. It depends.

2.) The only kinda people food I like is chicken or turkey breast. And I won't take it outta your hand, it's gotta be minced up super-duper small and put on the floor. Oh, and I'm gonna take forever to eat it. That's just how it is.

3.) I love Meep. Seriously, I need to be with him efurry wakin' and sleepin' minute. If I can't find him, I get kinda stressed-out and go lookin' for him. And when I find him, I give him a bath. It's just what I do.

4.) I never walk. I run.

5.) When I run, I criss-cross both my front & back feets. Always.

6.) I can't wait 'til it gets warm and I can get inside my stroller and sit on the deck with my mom while she has a cup of coffee. I don't even care that my stroller is pink. Really.

7.) I want my box changed efurry time me or Meep uses it. #1 or #2, it doesn't matter. It needs to be changed. Now.

ummm, hi efurrybuddy, it's me, meep . . .

well me n' Twizz wanna say thanks for all your patience while we was missin' . . . clearly our mom broke her most important New Year's revolution - lettin' us blog more!

efurrything is okay wif us, and we all 'purr-eciate efurrybuddy's concern. the thing is this: it was around this time last year that Buzzy started to get sick. my mom & dad kept takin' him to the vet 'cause he was losin' weight & he "just didn't seem like himself". at the time, he did need the "Bucky Fang" removed, and we all thought he was just havin' trouble recoverin' from the surgery & anti-biotics. ('cause we're all FIV+, we gots to be on meds for a longer time then most kitties, so it was understandable why he wasn't feelin' so great.) well, of course later we found out that it was much more serious than we had hoped, and Buzzy got diagnosed with that stoopid cancer. my mom's just been havin' a hard time dealin' with this 'cause she keeps thinkin' that they could have been able to help Buzzy more if they had known sooner how sick he was. so both she & my dad have been kinda sad, missin' Buzzy and wishin' that they could have done more for him. so that's why we haven't been bloggin' . . .

but we're gonna be back next week - we promise!

hi, it's me, meep . . .
i just wanted to post real quick and thank efurrybuddy for all of their nice get well wishes. me n' Twizz are feelin' better, and today was the first day that Twizz got his full voice back.

since this is Twizz's first Christmas, i had to explain to him 'bout Santa Paws. when i told him how Santa knows if he's been naughty or nice, Twizz got a funny look on his face (kinda like he needed to use the potty) and said that he had to go to the mall "right now!" we went straight to the store that sells all the pretty Christmas decorations, and Twizz picked-out this stocking. hmmmm, i guess he understood what i said 'bout Santa Paws afterall . . .

we probably won't get a chance to post again before Christmas, but we'll be sure to post before the New Year.

me, Twizz, my mom, and my Jim wanna wish efurrybuddy and their people a wonderful holiday season - whichever holiday you celebrate, we hope it is furry happy & joyous!

I asked the boys if I could borrow the blog today . . .

I wanted to thank Karen Jo for all of her work with the boys' limericks this week. The care she took with choosing their pictures and the thoughtful details she described were so touching. And of course the limericks themselves were incredibly sweet & fun! Each one brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart.

Today was Buzzy's limerick. The stories Karen Jo recalled of Buzzy's "purr-sonality" were wonderful. It's been almost four months since our little man went to The Bridge, and we think of him & miss him every single day.

It was so nice to wake-up this morning and read about him, almost like reminiscing with a good friend about another loved one who had passed away. Not only was Karen Jo's tribute beautiful, but all the special comments from other blog friends who miss him too.

The kitty blogosphere is filled with an amazing group of fluffies and their 'beans - thank you all so much for being there for each and every one of us, through the good times and the sad.

One thing I don't really get is why the mom is so obsessed with me bein' cold. She even made me try this jacket on, just for size.

Turns-out that I needed the next larger size, and lucky me, guess what just came from Meep's buddy in the big brown truck . . . oh help me!
